On arrival in Guwahati Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to hotel. Check-in to our pre-booked hotel. Moveout for local sightseeing. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Guwahati.
Morning visit to Maa Kamakhya Temple and offer your prayers. After breakfast get transferred to Shillong. Enroute Badapani / Umiam Lake. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Shillong.
Early morning drive to Cherrapunjee. Enroute we will visit Shillong Peak, Elephanta Falls. On arrival at Cherrapunjee we will see Nohkalikai Falls, and Mawsmai cave. Return in the evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Bordering India & Bangladesh, hidden away in a distant corner of Meghalaya in North East India, is a little-known hamlet called Mawlynnong has earned an accolade guaranteed to inspire. Known as the cleanest village in the whole of Asia, a title bequeathed by UNESCO and National Geographic, the people of this locality have taken it upon themselves to make the difference, Mawlynnong’s citizens ensure that their environment is clean and their way of living sustainable to the environment. After early breakfast we will take you for day excursion to Mawlynnong Village, which has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in India. It is situated approx 90 kms (both way) from Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Mawlynnong nestled in the pristine hill state of Meghalaya. A dustbin made out of bamboo is found all along the village. Everyone makes it a point that dirt and waste are not thrown everywhere. All the waste from the dustbin is collected and kept in a pit, which the villagers use as manure. The villagers are now on a mission to ban plastic. Return to the hotel. Evening is free. Overnight halt at Shillong.
After breakfast check-out from your hotel. Visit Shillong city including Ward’s Lake, Donbosco Museum, Cathedral Church, etc. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Shillong.
Early morning after breakfast proceed to Jowai. Go for a visit to KrangSuri waterfall, Tyrshi waterfall and then you can visit Jarain pitcher plant lake which is a lake of Carnivorous plant. Overnight stay at Shillong.
